Lisa B. Hightow-Weidman, MD, MPH is a Distinguished and Endowed McKenzie Professor and the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Nursing at the Florida State University (FSU). She is also the founding director of FSU’s Institute on Digital Health and Innovation.

A physician-scientist, Dr. Hightow-Weidman has dedicated her career to developing digital health solutions aimed at improving health and well-being outcomes, particularly for populations facing significant barriers to healthcare access. Her research integrates behavioral science, digital innovation, and implementation strategies to develop accessible, effective, and scalable technology-based health interventions. Internationally recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in the digital health interventions for HIV prevention and care among, Dr. Hightow-Weidman currently co-leads the Scientific Leadership Center of the Adolescent Medicine Trials Network for HIV Interventions (ATN). She has authored nearly 300 peer-reviewed articles and maintains a successful track record of funding from the National Institutes of Health, the HIV/AIDS Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She is a fellow of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida. She is also a respected collaborator and mentor, committed to fostering the professional growth and success of students, trainees, and fellow researchers.
